The tech centre will host:
  • The virtual show-room: a space in which inventions are displayed in pictorial or descriptive forms.

  • Advertisements and announcements on technical developments, application of inventions and those seeking partnership.


KNOWLEDGE CENTRE

The knowledge centre is a source of information on inventions, technologies and related policies. It is an open but moderated forum where technology related challenges or questions could be posted and solutions or answered provided by other users.

The knowledge centre provides:
  • Information on inventions, research projects and traditional knowledge;

  • Publications and viewpoints;

  • Recommendations and policy implications


In addition, it will host information and articles on progress in science, technology, industry and medicine etc. It would include:
  • Theory and concepts

  • Technology and societal issues;

  • The processes of discovery and invention;

  • Noteworthy stories of African science and technology.


TRADE CENTRE

The centre will provide information on:
  • Emerging trends in the global trade environment e.g. WTO, World Bank, UNCTAD, WHO/FAO, UNIDO and regional bodies e.g. European Union;

  • Potential impact of trade issues on transfer of technology and economic development;

  • African competitiveness in attracting and benefiting from investment.
